Until my dog got sick I had no idea that having mites is a disease. It actually has a name: mange in dogs. There are more than one types of mange in dogs, depending on the type of mites. Not all of them are transmissible to humans. This is the good part because knowing this I won’t be afraid of touching my dogs every time they start scratching. Anyway it is not a very dangerous disease and in can be treated very fast. Dog owners can prevent it by taking better care of their pets.
